The Metroid series is a video game series that follows the adventures of [[Samus Aran]] as she goes throughout the universe defeating the [[Space Pirate]]s. The Metroid series was created by [[Nintendo]], and there is still no hint of nintendo or retro studios making any plans for a new metroid game, thus without nintendo saying otherwise it can be asumed that the series will most likley be discontinued.
