'''Mother Brain''' is a recurring character in the ''[[Metroid (series)|Metroid series]]''.  It is featured in ''[[Metroid (game)|Metroid]]'', ''[[Metroid: Zero Mission]]'', ''[[Super Metroid]]'' and ''[[Metroid: Other M]]''. It was created by the [[Chozo]] as an organic supercomputer with telepathic abilities, but it devoloped sentience and turned on the Chozo. When the [[Space Pirate]]s later took over [[Zebes]], Mother Brain was made the leader of the entire organization. Mother Brain is responsible for the the spread of [[Metroid (species)|Metroids]].
